Golden Temple Villa

Hands down the staff were excellent. The buffet breakfast was great with a good selection. The hotel is a little bit out of the main hustle of town, which is a good thing. The area was safe to walk around at all times of the day.

Not really a big deal, especially in the South-East Asian heat, but the shower did not always get hot.

The nearby mosque blares prayer on loudspeakers at 5.15 am everyday disturbing sleep.

We loved everything about Golden Temple Villa. The staff was so lovely and helpful. The morning breakfast was delightful and our room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is tucked back on a road a bit away from the hustle and bustle and was very quiet, we got great rest here and would absolutely stay again. Great value for the money.

People who work there are kind, helpful and caring. The location makes it a quiet place, yet close to all kinds of shops, restaurants and near the road easily accessible by all kinds of transport. We used the complimentary lunch, which was very nice and fancy. We also used a 15$ coupon for the massage and it was an amazing experience.

The internet connection in the room was less stable than outside, which was difficult since I had to work.

I liked everything! The staff were so nice and helpful for all our needs. The location of the hotel is near to many restaurants, atms, massage places, and bars. The amenities of the hotel were so nice, especially the pool. There are many options for the breakfast, we had a breakfast buffet and on a weekday, there was a set menu but it was all delicious. There is no elevator in the place but their staff helped us in the best way they can. The room was big for two persons, everything we could need is there and there’s also a smart tv which is a plus!

The only thing i didnt like was that the pressure of the bidet was too strong. But everything was topnotch!

- the hotel, even if very centrally located was very quiet, an oasis in the hustle and bustle of central Siem Reap, a stone's throw away from the party mile- very friendly and welcoming staff- the rich breakfast buffet- the voucher for a tasty free included Khmer set lunch in the restaurant- the drinking water that was provided every day in glass bottles, not in plastic bottles- you get a discount card for discounts in other venues (restaurants/bars) owned by the same group in town- there is a laundry service right at the hotel entrance (1 USD / kg), very convenient!- the best spa in Southeast Asia, "Angkor Silk Spa", is just a short walk away, I had the best massages there on my trip through Thailand, Laos and Vietnam!- My favourite eating place for local Khmer food at very affordable prices, "Khmer Taste Restaurant", open up until late, was also in walking distance from the hotel

offered tourist services are rather on the expensive side, I hired a motor riksha driver myself in town and had a super time exploring Angkor Wat during sunrise and sunset with my driver who was making sure I was seeing all the temples and enjoyed my visit fullest. Insider tip: after 17h30 until 19h you can visit the archeological park for free without ticket and both the sunset (2,5 hrs) and the sunrise tour (7hrs) with my motor riksha driver waiting for me wherever I wanted him to stop and wait for me cost me USD 30 altogether - a bargain and a very nice experience.

Temple is a group with hotels, restaurants and bars. Being a guest here, we could enjoy discounts within the same group (I think). The moment that I arrived, a welcome drink was served which was really refreshing for the heat. Prior to the arrival, I raised the request of having an additional bed and the management made the arrangement without extra charge. The room was super spacious even after the second bed took up quite some space. Shower, washroom and basin are all separated which makes sense to me. Decent size of swimming pool. Some days if we returned from the tours early, a dip in the water really helped cool down. Great location: 15 min walking distance to the pub street and surrounded by eateries, bars and cafes. Worth mentioning that the staff could help change currencies. The team was super friendly and helpful. Over all, we couldn't have a better stay!

Good location, short walk to town and an absolutely delightful hotel. Staff were all lovely and we couldn’t have been more pleased with everything about the place. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely big room with view of the setting sun. Very comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. Powerful shower. Superb breakfast buffet- really can't fault it as it catered for all preferences. Spa was divine. Pool area clean.Staff incredibly helpful and if needed can arrange tours, guides and drivers for you. Giant ibis bus picks up from this hotel so easy for your onward travel.

Limited air conditioning in some communal areas and odd positioning of fans made them very warm. There's no lift but they kindly transport your bags. At night over the weekend there were various sources of throbbing music which might disturb a very light sleeper.

Great property, located within walking distance of downtown. Room was clean and comfortable, included breakfast was ample and delicious, infinity pool was nice, massages at the spa were excellent. A luxury oasis and a great value!Best of all were the staff...everyone we interacted with were kind, friendly, did their job well, and truly wanted us to enjoy every minute of our stay. The best service we've had at any hotel worldwide!

It would be nice if there was an elevator to go to higher floors and vegetarian choice of food.

Pillows are hard to sleep on.Khmer tradition style with open door decor so lots of mosquitoes No elevators (but they will bring luggages up for you).Breakfast was ok—-not much varieties.

Lobby was lovely, rooms were spacious. Food on the menu was delicious. Spa was great. We had massages everyday! 2 for 1 cocktails at the pool was definitely a plus!

Breakfast was average. Better to focus on some delicious items than to have a big range of food that wasn’t great.We had arranged transport and a guide through the hotel. Drivers were great, providing ice water and towels during our tours around Siem Reap. Guide was fun but wasn’t that knowledgeable or wasn’t able to explain very well. Also didn’t appreciate him pressuring us to make a review on the spot and then making us change the review to 5 stars.

The hotel is very well maintained, the staff is extremely helpful. The location is great, close to central market by walk. The breakfast has good local and international options to try out. We also tried the spa for a discounted massage after a long tour of the temples, well worth it. Would definitely recommend to people travelling to Siem Reap.

Lots of mosquitoes in the room. The over-friendly staff kept trying to sell extra services of the hotel, which soon started to feel intrusive. We were given discount vouchers for the spa and dining on arrival. We used the spa discount, but the price of the massage did not match what was written on the hotel's website. The massage was very good, but double check prices before booking!

Very friendly and helpful staff, offered us a welcome drink, nuts and cold towels on arrival which was a lovely welcome touch. Large comfortable double bed, beautifully decorated spa-like bathroom, nice toiletries provided with lovely salt body scrub provided alongside the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Two free bottles of water per day in bathroom plus two bottles a day for drinking were provided, which was more generous than other hotels we stayed in on our trip. Hotel offered various discounts such as $15 off a spa treatment at the in-house spa and one free lunch in their restaurant, although we did not use these vouchers during our stay. Pool was small but very tranquil and shaded. Easy to arrange excursions through the hotel, whose prices were not over inflated and were in line with other local providers. Good location on Sok San Rd, a short walk to the centre of town but away from the noise of Pub Street.
